Frequently asked questions

  • OFFERIGHT is a free, user-friendly platform where homebuyers can easily create an offer for a home they want to purchase. After answering a few basic questions, OFFERIGHT will generate an offer, have buyers sign the contract, then provide an instantly downloadable offer package that can be emailed to the listing agent. The homebuyer represents themselves, eliminates the middle-man, and saves thousands on potential commission fees.

  • OFFERIGHT is completely free to use.  OFFERIGHT’s mission is to empower homebuyers by providing them choice and autonomy. OFFERIGHT makes money if, and only if, a homebuyer requests a referral for lending, insurance, home warranty, legal support, title and escrow, and/or agent representation. OFFERIGHT partners with the best vendors in the industry, so if a homebuyer does not yet have connections to these resources, OFFERIGHT is happy to provide referrals. The homebuyer pays nothing to OFFERIGHT; the vendor pays OFFERIGHT a referral fee upon closing.

  • Following the NAR (National Association of Realtors) Settlement, home sellers have been made aware that they are actually not obligated to pay a commission to the buyer's agent, despite long standing industry norms and practices. While some sellers may still choose to offer a commission to a buyer’s agent as an incentive, many homebuyers seeking representation might need to pay some or all of their own agent’s commission. Additionally, a buyer will be required to sign a Buyer Representation Agreement before they are allowed to tour properties with an agent. This agreement will require that the homebuyer agrees to work with that agent for a specified amount of time and pay that agent’s commission, if needed. For confident or experienced homebuyers, self-representation might be a more appealing option.

  • Yes! Upon request, OFFERIGHT will happily connect buyers with a loan officer from their network of preferred lenders. OFFERIGHT’s preferred lenders have been vetted to meet certain requirements and are guaranteed to provide fast pre-approvals. Plus, when in escrow, OFFERIGHT’s preferred lenders will work tirelessly to fund loans as quickly, and as inexpensively, as possible.

Because all buyers (those using OFFERIGHT and those using a traditional agent) are required to include a current pre-approval letter and proof of funds in their offer packages, it is advised that buyers complete this integral step in the homebuying process before they begin their home search.

    Request a lender introduction

  • OFFERIGHT supports conventional loans, FHA loans, VA loans, fixed rate and adjustable rate loans, and all cash offers. Lenders will explain to buyers which loan types they have been approved for.

    Request a lender introduction

  • Following the 2024 NAR Settlement, all prospective buyers wanting to tour a listed property with the help of a real estate professional must first sign a Buyer’s Agency Agreement, which is a legal contract stating that the buyer and agent agree to work together (usually exclusively) for a specified duration of time and price. If a buyer chooses to represent themself, they can opt to visit open houses independently or they may contact the listing agent directly to request a tour. When requesting a tour directly with the listing agent, it is best to provide the agent with a current pre-approval letter and/or proof of funds, as well as a current driver’s license or government issued I.D.

  • OFFERIGHT is available nationwide.

At this time, only properties for sale in California will provide listing information; however, offers can still be written for unlisted, off-market, and non-California properties. Nationwide MLS integration is coming soon!

  • OFFERIGHT is currently designed to assist buyers who are in the market for a single-family residence, including houses, townhomes, condominiums, and residential properties with two to four units.

  • OFFERIGHT is designed to provide confident or experienced homebuyers the option to represent themselves. If independently navigating the home-buying process is ultimately not preferred, OFFERIGHT will, upon request, connect homebuyers with a licensed real estate professional in their specified area (at any point during the real estate search or transaction). OFFERIGHT buyers may also opt to negotiate directly with the listing agent to establish a contractual relationship that will benefit all involved parties.

  • OFFERIGHT uses integrated e-signature features and secure data handling to protect documents and personal information. OFFERIGHT does not store personal documentation that is uploaded into the system during the offer creation process (i.e., pre-approvals and proof of funds). For this reason, all financially sensitive documentation must be uploaded each time an offer package is created.
